Caroline Harpel is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh and is double majoring in Economics and Global Health with a focus on the Middle East. Originally from Arlington, VA, Caroline assists with women’s health research at the Magee-Womens Research Institute in Pittsburgh, is a mentor for young, at-risk girls and hopes to begin working on Pittsburgh’s Cities for CEDAW campaign in addition to doing refugee work. She aims to pursue a career in humanitarian aid and ultimately become a professor. Her main interests in this regard are public health and human rights.
