Nathan Young is senior at American University in Washington DC seeking a B.A. in International Relations with a focus on foreign policy.  Nathan has lived in 7 countries.  He speaks Spanish and some French and Korean.  He just returned from a 5 month study abroad in Chile. While working in Mali, he organized a joint project with OneWorldPlayProject and US embassy Bamako to distribute soccer balls for educational institutions around the country which have reached over 11,000 children.  He hopes to influence US foreign policy in the future.  He will be working at HANDS from late July-December 2017.  He will be focusing on overseeing social media, the Gifts from the Nile online craft store, working on the fall benefit dinner, researching grant applications, and other projects.
