Beth Korte is a junior at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She lived in Egypt from the age of two until returning to the US at the age of 17. Beth’s background in Egyptian affairs encouraged her to pursue a degree in global studies with an emphasis on political science, with which she hopes to return to the Middle East and continue cross-cultural education and engagement. A lover of music and art, Beth’s favorite spot in DC is the Smithsonian American Art Museum, which she frequents at least once a week. This semester at HANDS, Beth is overseeing our social media platforms and writing e-newsletters, along with several other projects.
