Nicholas Tyre is a sophomore at the George Washington University in Washington D.C. seeking a B.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in International Development and a minor in Arabic. While at GW, he has become Executive Vice-President of GW UNICEF, a student organization that advocates for various UNICEF causes, coordinates fundraisers, and provides volunteer opportunities to the student body. Nicholas hopes to have an influential career in the development field, specifically in the Middle East and North Africa region. His most immediate plans following graduation is to become a Peace Corps Volunteer in pursuit of hands-on community development. Nicholas will be working at HANDS from February to May 2018. During his time, he will focus on communication with donors, preparing fundraisers, and the creation of the 2018 HANDS Annual Report.
