Lauren Hamelink is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a B.A. in International Relations, focusing on Middle East Studies and Arabic. She is now a second-year Master’s student at Michigan State University studying Public Policy with a specialization in International Development. After graduation, she plans to return to the Washington, DC area to pursue a career in foreign policy. Lauren will be working at HANDS from May to August 2018. During this time she will be communicating with donors and overseeing plans for two fundraisers.
