Dr. Graeme Bannerman is the founder of Bannerman Associates, an international consulting firm.  He was previously a staffer for Middle East and South Asia on the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as well as a former Middle East analyst on the US State Department Policy Planning staff.  Graeme has taught at several universities, including Georgetown University, the George Washington University, and the American University of Beirut, and has served as an international observer of elections in Georgia, the Philippines, Haiti, Pakistan, and the West Bank and Gaza, Mongolia, and Yemen.  He is also an adviser to the United States Institute of Peace and a scholar at the Middle East Institute.  Graeme holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, an M.A. from The American University of Beirut, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.
