Please join us for our 2017 holiday handicraft sale at our office on Saturday, December 2 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Many products are made by artisans at the Association for the Protection of the Environment (APE), a job skills and educational program for women living and working in the garbage collector’s community in Cairo known as “Garbage City.” The handicrafts are made from clean, recycled materials, and proceeds return to support the APE and provide increased opportunities for young women in the community.

This year, we will also be introducing three new product lines: leather work by graduates of HANDS Young Entrepreneurs Program, coiled paper products made by youth with disabilities in Alexandria, Egypt, and some lovely items made by refugees.

All are welcome. Please bring a friend!

Note: The sale is being held in the “Party Room” of our new office complex in Alexandria. When facing 505 East Braddock Road, the party room is to your right (before entering the building.)

A few guest parking spots (marked as three hour parking) are available in the garage (which is to the left of the building labelled 545.) There is also plentiful on-street parking, and we are just across from the Braddock Road metro stop.

We hope to see you there!
