Join us for our next Crafts of Cairo sale, being held at the Chautauqua Institution. Come browse our beautiful selection of quilts, bags, notecards and more.
Each product is made by artisans at the Association for the Protection of the Environment (APE), a job skills and educational program for women living and working in the garbage collector’s community in Cairo known as “Garbage City.” The handicrafts are made from clean, recycled materials, and proceeds return to support the APE and provide increased opportunities for young women in the community.
