Thomas Maher joined Apex International Energy in May 2016 as President and COO, and became the CEO based in Cairo in May 2022. Prior to joining Apex, he held several senior leadership positions in his thirty-year career with Apache Corporation in the USA, Australia and Egypt. His teams enjoyed success growing production and reserves in all three countries.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Massachusetts, a master’s in geology from Miami University (Ohio), and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is an American Association of Petroleum Geologists Certified Petroleum Geologist.
